Hypnagogia N.2 by Pablo Zamudio
This painting reminds me of the feeling and state when I’m in between dreaming and waking up and sometimes for a few seconds it’s hard to tell what’s real and what isn’t. I used a simple wave pattern that seems to filter through an isometric projection of a cube with basic light shadow effects in my hard-edge painting style.
My inspiration for this painting was American artist Sol LeWitt (1928-2007) known for helping establish Minimalism and Conceptual Art. He often used geometric shapes in his work including isometric cubes and also patterns.
