The Throwback: 1 Day - 1 Venue - 15 Artists
Vancouver, Canada [May 30th, 2023] - Art Rapture is proud to present "The Throwback," an immersive art experience showcasing the works of 15 exceptional artists at the historic Ironworks building in Vancouver. Taking place on Saturday, September 23rd, this event promises to captivate art enthusiasts and ignite a renewed appreciation for the masters of the past.
"The Throwback" serves as a homage to the transformative power of art, featuring artists who draw inspiration from the masterpieces that have left an indelible impact on their creative journey. With a careful curation process, Art Rapture ensures that every artwork exhibited is highly collectible, original in nature and reflective of the artists' unique identity.
The event will spotlight the works of renowned artists including Andy Dixon, Ola Volo, Mad Dog Jones, William D. Higginson, Michelle Hoogveld, Jay Senetchko, Bracken Hanuse Corlett, Olga Rybalko, Jason Dussault, Rory Doyle, Sean Jantzi, Pablo Zamudio, Benjamin Lumb, Manon Biernacki, and Adrian O'Brien. Bringing home the throwback theme, Art Rapture will have a special exhibit of museum-caliber Picasso, Rembrandt and Hockney artworks.
Marcon, a leading real estate developer, proudly takes the role of Presenting Sponsor for The Throwback. Their commitment to supporting the arts community underscores the importance of fostering creativity and cultural enrichment.
Furthermore, the event supports "One Girl Can," a charitable organization dedicated to empowering young girls from vulnerable backgrounds to rise above extreme poverty and gender inequality. A portion of the event's proceeds will go towards providing these girls with opportunities for education and personal growth.
"We are thrilled to invite art enthusiasts, collectors and the public to experience The Throwback," said Paul Becker, chief curator and founder of Art Rapture. "It is an extraordinary opportunity to witness the convergence of past and present, where artists pay homage to the masters while adding their personal approach with a contemporary twist."
