Collection: OLA VOLO - WEST

“West” is a unique work of art, specifically created for an exclusive limited edition print run, in collaboration with Art Rapture’s publishing house, Rapture Editions.  This work embodies the west coast where Ola Volo called home for over a decade.   

“West” connects the viewer to water, mountains, wind, sun and life within.  Ola fluidly moves us through the mouth of a river where it meets the ocean, and along this venture we encounter birds, whales, sea lions, sport, energy and soul.   This journey is all told within the dress of a strong, yet humble female form.  She is majestic.   Her finger tips daintily hold the crown, or perhaps the fragility of nature & human life.  Whimsical dandelions, flowers, and other flora float around the strong presence of what could be interpreted as Mother Nature.

We are one, we are all connected.  

Every silk screen print has been meticulously hand pulled by master printer, Ben Duncan, under the artistic supervision of Ola Volo, at the infamous Malaspina Printmakers on Granville Island, Vancouver. Each print is on fine art BFK Rives 100% cotton paper, watermarked with deckled edges, mouldmade and imported from France. 

Artwork, designed created by Ola Volo.  All prints are hand signed in pencil lower right.  Numbered lower left. Blind embossing stamp of Rapture Editions lower left and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Art Rapture / Rapture Editions.
