Collection: OLA VOLO - EAST
“East” is a unique work of art, specifically created for an exclusive limited edition print run, in collaboration with Art Rapture’s publishing house, Rapture Editions. This work embodies Ola Volo's Eastern European heritage, in conjunction with her present creative home in Eastern Canada.
Ola Volo succinctly portrays a strong, stoic female with the use of thick line work and balanced geometric attributes. The woman is a queen, a warrior, a mentor. Powerful yet sensitive. She clutches a bird in her hand, a traditional symbol of Eastern folklore. Carriers of the human soul.
At her feet, is a flowing body of water representing Le Fleuve Saint-Laurent, one of the most important gateways of goods, culture and soul that fertilizes the Mississippi river giving birth to life in North America. The richness of nature, art, music, knowledge and language are cared for, and protected by our protagonist.
"East" embraces the old yet inspires the new.
